Who Needs a Business License?
All businesses physically located within the city limits require a business license. (AMC 5.28.050)
If your business is located:
§ Within the city limits of Arlington you need an Arlington business license.
§ Outside the city limits, but you are doing work in the city you do not need an Arlington business license. (Note: To find out if a location is within the city limits contact Planning at 360.403.3551.)
Business Licenses are not transferrable.
- If you move please notify the city.
- If you are a new owner please print and complete the application below.
Business Licenses should be displayed on a wall in your business.
Business License application
Annual fee: $60* (Ord. 723)
*The business license year runs July 1 through June 30. Fees due at the time of application are prorated as shown below. Current fee shows in blue.
July 1-September 30 $60
October 1-December 31 $45
January 1 - March 31 $30
April 1 - June 30 $75 (includes $15 for the last quarter and $60 for the coming year's renewal)
