will receive current information regarding the status of such things as: 

        Road Closures due to flooding, snow, ice or earthquake
        Location of relocation shelters for evacuees
        Status of the Emergency Event
        Access to City Offices
        Other pertinent information

Citizens are reminded to have their personal/family emergency plans ready including food, water, alternative shelter, a land-line telephone, battery-operated radio and other tools that can help respond to an emergency. Citizens should have enough supplies for at least 72 hours and beyond.

The State of Washington Military Department in partnership with the State Health Department have compiled an Emergency Resource Guide that contains information can help local governments, businesses and individuals plan for widespread and long term emergencies.  You can access the Resource Guide by clicking on the following web link: http://emd.wa.gov/, or entering the address in your browser address.
